Regional conflicts are posing big threats to Gulf States which requires coordinated efforts at all levels to ensure safety, Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Jarwan said on Wednesday.

"The widespread terrorism is alarming in Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia and even in a peaceful country like Bahrain," Al Jarwan said in his speech, adding that the regional conflicts and threats faced by Arab States required them to stay united against all plots to destabilize their security.

The Arab Parliament also condemned the Daih blast on Monday in Bahrain, which left three policemen killed. "This coward and sick terrorist operation that happened in Bahrain is alien to our culture," he said.

Bahrain's authorities said they have arrested 25 suspects in connection with the bombing which is one of the worst incidents the country has faced since the 2011 anti-government protests.

80 Arab MPs took part in a major meeting in Bahrain for a second session of the first legislative term of the Arab Parliament (AP) which started on Wednesday.
