French club Catalans Dragons' France international prop Jamal Fakir has been demoted to the reserves after an emergency meeting called Tuesday to address the club's poor start to the Super League season.

After the meeting it was decided that Fakir, 31, would be sidelined from the professional group and play for the reserves.

Australian fullback Brent Webb will also undergo further medical tests to discover why he has failed to find his form following back surgery last season. The 34-year-old Webb will undergo several days of tests to evaluate the remainder of his season.
