South China's Guangdong Province has reported 12 human cases of H7N9 bird flu this month, with one more reported on Monday.

The latest case was reported in Shenzhen, where a 49-year-old man was confirmed to be infected on Sunday, according to a written statement issued by the provincial health and family planning commission.

He is in critical condition and receiving treatment at a local hospital, said the statement.
