New Zealand defeated England 26-7 in the cup final in Hong Kong on Sunday, surging to the top of the points table after the seventh tournament of the IRB (International Rugby Board) Sevens World Series.

Leapfrogging South Africa, whose disappointing final day saw them knocked out of the quarterfinals by England, New Zealand now boasts 136 points after their third tournament win of this year's series.

There are two tournaments left in the series.
