Benfica beat Braga 1-0 on Sunday night in the Northern city of Braga in the 25th round of the Portuguese league, reopening a seven-point lead at the top.

In another match Porto in the third place was beaten by Nacional 2-1 to remain 15 points behind Benfica. The dragons are falling behind now despite improving under Luis Castro.
Candeias put Nacional forward in the 19th minute with a right-footed effort to the bottom of the net following a cross by Joao Aurelio.
Jackson equalized for Porto in the 46th minute and Rondon secured the scoring two minutes later.
Also on Sunday, Arouca beat Setubal 1-0, Academica beat Olhanense 2-1 and Rio Ave beat Estoril 1-0. Gil Vicente held Maritimo to a 1-1 draw.
