Iran's "absolute policy is to reject nuclear arms," Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said  in Tehran on Wednesday.

Khamenei said US officials know that Iran has repeatedly renounced nuclear arms but the United States uses this as "excuse" to stifle scientific advancement in the country, he said addressing the staff of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran ( AEOI) on the Islamic Republic's National Day of Nuclear Technology.

He said the Iranian administration has developed a plan for nuclear talks to "break the global atmosphere (against Iran) and to clarify the reality to the public opinion of the world," saying the talks won't diminish Iran's scientific nuclear endeavors.
