Portugal climbed up to third place in the FIFA ranking, the best record in the history, behind Spain and Germany, the world's football body announced on Thursday.

Colombia moved from 5th to 4th position and Uruguay from 6th to 5th, while Argentina fell from 3rd to 6th position.

Greece is back in the top 10 for the first time since October 2012 and Scotland is the only team to have climbed over 10 places, from 22nd to 15th.

Switzerland and Italy are in the remaining top 10 positions, in 8th and 9th position respectively.

FIFA will publish its next World Ranking on May 8.
