Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and striker Luis Suarez have been jointly named Player of the Month for March.

Brendan Rodgers, the Reds' manager, won the award for the Manager of Month.

Liverpool kept unbeaten in March, winning five successive games over Manchester United 3-0, Cardiff 6-3, Southampton 3-0, Tottenham 4-0 and Sunderland 2-1.

Gerrard, 33, has won the award six time in his career while Suarez, who is the Premier League's leading scorer with 29 goals, took the award a second time following his win in last December.

Rodgers has also won the managers' award previously this season, in August following the Reds' good start to the campaign.
