Lokomotiv Moscow failed to take the chance to overtake ­Zenit Saint Petersburg and regain the Russian Premiership lead after being held to a goalless draw by Anzhi Makhachkala on Sunday.

The two-time former champions are on 52 points from 25 matches, one point behind Zenit, with CSKA Moscow in third on 49 points.

Lokomotiv dominated but squandered a hatful of chances.
