The 13th China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition (NIC) opened in Beijing on Tuesday, with the focus on clean energy.

More than 200 companies from over 40 countries are attending the exhibition, including China, the United States, France, Russia and the United Kingdom. The total exhibition area is 14,000 square meters, the largest in its history.

The four-day event is jointly sponsored by Chinese Nuclear Society and China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation.

Third-generation nuclear power technology, including AP1000, EPR and China's self-developed Hualong-1, are on display. Technology seminars will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

First held in 1989, the NIC has become an important platform for nuclear technology exchanges between China and other countries.
