Two men rescued an elderly woman from a fire in an old building on Yongjia Road in Xuhui district Tuesday morning, the local news portal xinmin.cn reported.

The woman, surnamed Wang, was alone when a fire broke out in her room. Wang had health problems that left her unable to move.

Neighbors heard her crying for help. Two men from Jiangxi Province, in their 40s, used a ladder to carry the woman to safety.

She suffered burns to her face and hair.
