1.41 million- the number of visitors that Shanghai's Gucun Park in Baoshan district received during the 2014 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival between March 20 and April 15, a record high. The single-day visitor volume peaked at 160,200 on March 30.

56,445- the number of cancer patients that were newly diagnosed in Shanghai in 2013, according to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning. The number of deaths from malignant tumors was 36,239 last year. The growth in the incidence of colorectal cancers was the most notable.

36,000 yuan- the approximate amount of compensation that a 66-year-old man surnamed Liu got from a local hotpot restaurant in a recent ruling by Xuhui District People's Court. The man was injured when he slipped on stairs while trying to fetch sauce for himself, after being ignored by waiting staff.

10- the number of buildings printed by 3D printers are on display at the Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Qingpu Park in Qingpu district these days. It only took 24 hours to print out the 10 buildings.
