The Syrian military said Wednesday that the military vehicles that have been hit by the Jordanian air force on the Syrian-Jordanian borders don't belong to the Syrian army.

In a statement carried by SANA, the military said it has not moved any military armored vehicles toward the Jordanian borders," adding that "what have been hit by the Jordanian air forces don't belong to the Syrian army."

Earlier, Jordan's state television said the Jordanian warplanes destroyed a number of camouflaged vehicles that was trying to infiltrate the Jordanian frontier from the Syrian side of the borders.

The TV didn't elaborate on the Jordanian air strike, which is the first of its kind during Syria's long-term war.

The Syrian rebels have many positions on the Syrian-Jordanian borders. And recent report said that the rebels were planning a major offensive in southern Syria on the Syrian city of Daraa, the birthplace of the country's 3-year crisis.
