China has rejected a proposal by India to set up its Consulate General Office in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, during the China-India sixth strategic talks held in Beijing on Monday, Nepalese newspaper República reported Thursday.

India will plan to establish another office in Chengdu, Sichuan Province or Kunming, Yunnan Province, according to the report.
