"I invested over 3 million yuan ($480,900), but now only have about 100,000 yuan left."

A woman surnamed Jiang in Beijing said this when talking about being cheated on a silver investment. A total of 31 protesters who got to know each other in a QQ chat group came to Beijing recently to try to obtain justice. They says they were cheated out of 10 million yuan altogether, ranging from several tens of thousands of yuan to 3 million yuan. The protesters hadn't realized they were cheated until they saw an expose about spot silver investing on CCTV in March. Some of them had resorted to local police but after no solutions were reached, they got together and came to Beijing for help. Three out of the nine companies named by the protestors are closed, but many of them are still running. The protesters' documents will be delivered to economic investigation departments in Beijing.
