The Chinese version of the Australian TV improvisational comedy program Thank God You're Here will begin its second road trip around China to film in front of audiences in June, the show's production company, China Central Television, revealed Tuesday in Beijing. "We didn't expect such an overwhelming welcome response during our first tour in early January. Filming this TV program in theaters [around China] was a new direction for us," said the program's producer and CCTV host, Wang Xuechun.

Since the program debuted in 2011 on CCTV-1, it has grown into one of the most popular non-scripted programs on TV. Taped in front of a live audience, the actor joining the program for that episode is greeting by performers with the exclamation "Thank God you're here!" The group then precedes to act in a pre-chosen scene with which the guest actor had no previous knowledge.

Tao Jun, the program's editor said that a total of 298 stars have participated in the current 93 episodes of the program.

The first leg of the tour will take the show to Chengdu, and then other major cities including Shenyang, Lanzhou, Hefei, Ningbo and Wuhan.
