National security authorities in Guangdong Province uncovered a case in which oversea spies colluded with domestic residents to filch China's military secret.

A suspect surnamed Li was sentenced to 10 years in prison for leaking more than 20 pieces of military secrets, China News Service reported Sunday.

Li took orders from a foreign spy called "Feige" to subscribe and provide confidential military publications to the spy, as well as conduct long-term observation of key military bases.

A large amount of dynamic information of the military bases and photographs of military equipments were leaked overseas through Li, the report said.

"Feige" has lured 12 people in the province using the Internet such as online bookstores and websites where military enthusiasts congregate since 2007. More than 40 people in some 20 provincial regions were taken advantage of  by "Feige" in the same way.
