The passenger who left 7,700 yuan ($1,235) in cash on a No.180 bus Tuesday night reclaimed his personal belongings Thursday, xinmin.cn reported.

The passenger, surnamed Cai, fell asleep after boarding the bus near the intersection of Lianhua Road South and Fanghe Road. Cai got off the bus in a hurry, leaving behind a plastic bag that contained the cash, three bank passbooks, a flashlight and a piece of clothing.

After realizing he left the bag on the bus, Cai contacted the bus company Wednesday night.

The bus company checked Cai's identification before returning his belongings. The company reminded passengers to remember to take all of their personal belongings when disembarking a city bus.
