Iran may consider working with the United States in dealing with terrorism in Iraq, Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, said on Saturday in a press conference.

Asked whether Iran will work with the United States against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Iraq if it is asked, Hassan Rouhani said "the United States has not done anything in this regard so far" to counter ISIL in Iraq.

"Whenever the United Stats wants to do something against terrorists in Iraq, Iran can consider cooperating with this country (the United Sattes)," Rouhani said.

"All of us should counter terrorism in words and in practice," he said, adding that foreign countries should stop helping terrorists with money and arms.
