Malaysian Supreme Head of State Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and his consort Tuanku Hajah Haminah on Sunday conveyed their condolences to the families of the passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.

They expressed deep grief over the tragedy, saying "indeed, the nation is saddened by this tragedy."

They urged Malaysians to pray for the families of the victims to give them strength and fortitude to face this most difficult moment, and expressed their thanks to the efforts made by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his government.
