England forward James Haskell has extended his contract with Wasps and been named captain for the forthcoming season, the English Premiership club announced Monday.

Having graduated from Wasps' youth system, Haskell made his debut at the age of 18 in 2002 and helped the club to glory in the European Cup and the Premiership before leaving in 2009.

After spells in France, Japan and New Zealand, the back-row forward returned to the London club two seasons ago.

"I'm really pleased to have extended my contract with Wasps and am honored to have been asked to captain the club," said the 29-year-old, who has won 51 caps for England.
