A private cargo plane escaped a deadly accident while landing at a remote Nepalese airport late on Friday morning; there was no human casualty, an airport official said.

The plane owned by Makalu Airline suffered a minor jolt after it skidded off the runway in Humla Simikot Airport at around 10:45 p.m. local time.

"It was just a minor accident," the airport chief Hira Jung Kafle told Xinhua. "The plane happened to slide away from the runaway after its brake failed to work properly."

He said the plane did not suffer any damage and there was also no human casualty.

The aircraft with three crew members was transporting daily goods and other stuff from Surkhet to Humla. Both places are located in the remote western hilly districts of the country.

According to the official, the aircraft has resumed its operation after engineers found it technically sound.
