Tremor felt in Beijing as feeble shocks jolt north China

A 4.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Zhuolu County, north China's Hebei Province, at 6:37 pm (Beijing Time) on Saturday, the China Earthquake Network Center said.

No casualties have been reported so far.

The epicenter was monitored at 40.3 degrees north latitude and 115.4 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers, it said.

Tremor was felt in Beijing, Tianjin and the cities of Zhangjiakou, Baoding and Tangshan in Hebei.

China Earthquake Administration has initiated a grade III emergency response.
