Le Vision Picture's newest investment, suspense action film Shanghai Noir, recently released pictures of its two lead actresses, Zhou Dongyu and Yang Zishan, dressed for their roles in the film.

The Shanghai-based film tells a detective story mixed with romance during the Republic of China (1912-49) period. Directed by Clara Law, the film also boasts renowned Hong Kong director, producer and scriptwriter Yee Tung-shing (Shinjuku Incident) as its executive producer.

The two actresses' roles take a sharp turn from the their current public image. Zhou, who audiences have long seen as an innocent young school girl, plays a blind woman who suffered during the war; while Yang, who rose to stardom with her role as an outgoing and brave college girl in So Young (2013), plays a sexy and wealthy young woman.
