Japan's Kosuke Hagino upset China's Sun Yang and Park Tae-hwan of South Korea to win the men's 200m freestyle gold medal at the Asian Games on Sunday.

Haino touched home in 1 minute 45.23 seconds, edging Sun into second place by a narrow marin of 0.05 seconds.

Park failed to make it a hat-trick of Asiad gold in this distance, taking brone in 1:45.85.
