Six people were killed and two others injured after a cement tanker collided with a minibus Friday in Northeast China's Jilin Province, police said.

The cement tanker seemingly rolled over in Fengman District, in the city of Jilin, at around 11:30 a.m., and crashed into a minibus carrying seven people, police said.

Six of the minibus' passengers died at the scene, while the other passenger and the driver of the cement tanker escaped with light injuries.

Traffic police are investigating the cause of the accident.
