Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang reiterated his call for closer cooperation between China and Slovenia in Ljubljana on Friday.

Addressing China-Slovenia Business Forum, Wang said China and Slovenia have been sticking to the principle of mutual respect, equal treatment, mutual benefit and win for all since the two countries established diplomatic ties 22 years ago.

The profound traditional friendship with both sides respecting each other's choice of development path and core interests have promoted bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, he noted.

Thanks to common effort by the governments of the two countries and business circles, two-way trade is maintaining good momentum of development this year, while China and Slovenia have also started cooperation in the fields of agrotechnique, trade of agricultural products, and safety management of agricultural products.

Wang said that he shared the view with Slovenian leaders that the two countries complement each other in economy. While China could offer Slovenia broad market and abundant capital for its development, the latter may also provide practical technology and experience of management for China.

China expects to have comprehensive cooperation with Slovenia in tourism, and further its cooperation with central and eastern European countries, he added.

More than 300 representatives from the business circle in China and Slovenia attended the forum.
