Two men surnamed Xue and Zheng were sentenced recently to seven months in jail and ordered to pay fines of 2,000 yuan ($326) and 5,000 yuan respectively by the Chaoyang District Court for importing fake erectile dysfunction tablets, the Beijing Times reported.

The shipment of afrodyn, a drug used to treat male erectile dysfunction, was confiscated by Beijing customs in February on suspicion that the tablets were fake. Their suspicions were confirmed after the drugs were tested by the Chaoyang District Food and Drug Administration, and subsequently destroyed by authorities.
