An integrated development plan linking Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province in North China will soon be publicized, financial news portal aastocks.com reported on Monday, quoting sources it did not identify.
The plan is likely to be unveiled as soon as the end of December, according to the sources, who revealed the super region around Beijing is intended to be developed into an influential modern capital cluster by 2030.
The cluster will be made up of four functional areas, with the western and northern parts being devoted to ecological protection and development, the central part being focused on optimization and adjustment, the southern part engaging in manufacturing and farming, and the coastal eastern region committed to port-related industries, said the report.
Back in May, the
National Development and Reform Commission, the country's top economic planner, said it has been drafting the integrated development plan.
