'Hunger Games' China release

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Huterson and Liam Hemsworth and directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 has been scheduled to hit domestic screens on February 8. 

Since the release of the first film in 2012, The Hunger Games trilogy has become one of Lion Gate's best-selling films, which all three installments earning $2.2 billion in box office revenue.

Already released in North America and many other overseas markets on November 21, the film has already earned $325 million in the US alone. 

In the newest film, Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) finds herself in District 13 after shattering the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.

Mockingjay Part 1 has received moderate positive reviews, reaching a 7.1/10 on IMDb and 6.4/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics have praised the film for its political subtext and performances while others have criticized its lack of action.
