大爷式占座 (dàyéshìzhànzuò):

The term refers to men who sit with their legs spread, especially on crowded metro trains, either because they want to be more comfortable or want to prevent others from sitting too close. It is considered a selfish act on public transportation.

21-year-old phenomenon

21岁现象 (21suìxiànxiànɡ):

Entrepreneurs born in the 1990s have become one of the main groups of start-up founders in Zhongguancun, Beijing's technology hub. But the proportion of college students who start their own businesses remains tiny. Although they are driven, only 2 percent to 3 percent of businesses started by domestic college students succeed, far lower than the success rate of social entrepreneurship, which is about 30 percent.

The pills designed by South Korean artist Dongwook Lee to look like human faces. The face pills have been delicately carved to resemble real faces. Some people think the pills are an innovative form of artistic expression. Others find them unsettling.

囤衣狂 (dùnyīkuánɡ):

A term that refers to the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, who is quite the clothes horse. Middleton reportedly waits months, even years, before wearing her purchases. The Daily Mail said that Middleton's hoarding is a deliberate tactic to avoid running into women wearing the same outfit.
