Disney Theatrical Productions, NETworks and Broadway Entertainment Group are bringing Disney's Beauty and the Beast to Macao for the first time in celebration of the Broadway show's 20th anniversary on the stage. The English-language production will be performed at The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Macao from June 19 to July 26 as part of its international tour, which includes stops in Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

"We are pleased to bring this Broadway musical to Macao as part of our international tour," CEO of Broadway Entertainment Group Liz Koops said. "We are so excited to see the Macao audience fall in love with this beloved tale."

Based on the 1991 Academy-Award winning animated feature film, Disney's Beauty and the Beast premiered on Broadway in 1994, where it was nominated for nine prestigious Tony Awards and ran for 13 years. It still ranks as one of the longest-running and highest-grossing Broadway shows of all time. The show's original Broadway creative team is reuniting to bring this Broadway classic to life.

Since licensing of the title began in 2004, there have been productions in 22 countries, seen by more than 35 million people, translated into eight different languages with over 28,000 performances.
