China should consider passing laws to better manage the staging of military parades. Aside from the National Day military parade, which remains the biggest one and is held every five or 10 years, other parades could be held for the Army Day, the Victory Day of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-45) and a few other days of international significance. The parades should include veterans to honor their service.
