Cambodia donates $100,000 to earthquake-stricken Nepal

Cambodia on Monday donated 100, 000 US dollars to Nepal after a Saturday's devastating earthquake that has claimed at least 3,726 people, according to a news statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, on Monday contributes humanitarian relief aid of 100,000 US dollars to the victims and bereaved families of the deadly natural disaster," the statement said.

"The Royal Government of Cambodia hopes that the meager donation will contribute to mitigating the hardship of the victims, and that with the timely efforts of the Government of Nepal, the victims' situation will recover soon," it said.

The powerful earthquake struck Nepal on Saturday afternoon, leaving at least 3,726 people dead and about 6,944 others injured.
