"I don't understand why the floorslab is so thin. The underfloor heating was installed just to conceal the building's low quality."

A local resident surnamed Wang recently purchased an accessorized apartment in Baoshan district which included an underfloor heating system. However, he removed it and planned to cover the floorslab with simple solid wood flooring. But the floorslab was so thin that the nails penetrated directly into his downstairs neighbor's apartment. Wang believes the fancy heating system was just to disguise the overall shoddy construction. Local authorities are investigating the matter.
