A female doctor surnamed Tian, who worked in the dermatology department at Chaoyang Hospital, was attacked by a patient on June 28, because she refused to allow the patient to jump ahead in the line of people waiting for treatment, according to the Beijing Youth Daily.

The patient was a middle-aged man surnamed He who came to Tian's department with his wife in the afternoon. He didn't have a reservation and asked to be treated immediately and Tian refused. He became angry and kicked Tian several times, and he also kicked a nurse who tried to stop him.

He left the hospital after attacking the doctor, but was found by police and detained on the same day.
