Singaporeans have been injured in the bomb blast near the famous Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs late Monday.

"Singapore strongly condemns the bomb blast in Bangkok and is saddened by the loss of innocent lives. We convey our condolences to the families of the victims and hope the injured will have a speedy recovery," MFA said.

"We have learnt that some Singaporeans were injured," MFA said, adding that the Singapore embassy staff are rendering the necessary consular assistance to the affected Singaporeans.
