Two Singaporeans injured in Bangkok blast return home for treatment

Two Singaporeans who were injured in the a bomb blast in Thailand's capital city of Bangkok returned home on Thursday.

Mdm Michelle Heng, 58, and her son arrived at Singapore General Hospital for treatment Thursday afternoon, Channel NewsAsia reported, adding that the hospital declined to comment on the severity of their wounds.

According to previous media reports, Heng has undergone surgery to remove shrapnel and is on a ventilator, she had inhaled a lot of smoke from the blast.

Monday's blast has left at least 20 people dead and more than 100 others injured. One Singaporean and seven Chinese nationals were among those killed in the attack at the popular Erawan Shrine.

Thai police said on Thursday that the deadly blast was well- planned and involved at least 10 criminals.
