Police have arrested two people for an explosion and fire at a warehouse in North China's Tianjin Municipality Monday night, the local public security bureau announced Tuesday.

The Tianjin Public Security Bureau said on Tuesday through its official Sina Weibo account that the explosion occurred around 9:40 pm Monday at a warehouse owned by the Tianjin Yong Sheng Fine Chemical Co Ltd in Xiditou township, Beichen district.

The fire was put out at around 2:30 am, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

No casualties have been reported.

The corporate representative surnamed Zhou and the warehouse owner surnamed Huo were arrested.
