The Korean language edition of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was launched at a ceremony in Seoul on Wednesday, the China News Service reported.

The book is a compilation of Chinese President Xi Jinping's  speeches, talks, interviews, instructions and correspondence between November 15, 2012 and June 13, 2014.  Worldwide sales of the book have exceeded 5.2 million copies.

The book was published by China International Publishing Group in many languages, including English, French and Russian.

The book offers South Korean people a chance to understand China, and will promote cultural exchanges between the two countries, Qiu Guohong, Chinese ambassador to South Korea, said on Wednesday.

Yu Woo-ik, former South Korean ambassador to China, said the book will contribute to improving South Korea-China relations.
