Fine for OSI China units

US-based food supplier OSI Group's two Chinese units were fined 2.4 ­million yuan ($364,769) for producing and selling inferior products and 10 of its employees were sentenced by a Chinese court in Shanghai Monday, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

One employee, Yang Liqun, was sentenced to prison for three years and fined 100,000 yuan by Shanghai Jiading District People's Court, ­according to Xinhua.

Yang, who holds Australian citizenship, will be deported as well, Xinhua said.

The other nine employees were sentenced to terms of 19 to 32 months and fined between 30,000 yuan and 80,000 yuan, Xinhua reported.
