The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) EUROPE Project was officially launched at the Embassy of the European Union to China on March 22. Hans Dietmar Schweisgut, the EU Ambassador to China, gave an introductory speech about the project. According to the ambassador, the EUNIC EUROPE Project is a joint program between EUNIC and Cluster China member states aimed at promoting European culture to children in China. Through interesting, playful presentations, Chinese children can learn many things about EU countries, including European art, artists, traditions, literature, music, dance and gastronomy. The press conference also featured traditional Hungarian dances and Hussars. The project will have many more events which will be hosted by the various European embassies in Beijing until June 25.
