Nepal's international airport has resumed service on Sunday evening after an earlier bomb threat has been cleared.

A Jet Airways flight from Delhi that landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu was found to have no explosives on board, officials said.

A spokesman at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) confirmed to local media that there were no explosives found inside the plane.

The flight was isolated after landing and security officials conducted a thorough investigation after a threat was conveyed to the Jet Airways office in Kathmandu. There were 169 people including the crew on board the plane.

All incoming and outgoing flights had been halted following the bomb threat at Nepal's only international airport.
