LBE Tech, a Beijing-based software development company, launched its new app Parallel Space on April 13. Designed particularly for Android devices, the app allows users to log into two different user accounts simultaneously by creating a separate (parallel) space on the device, making it perfect for mobile gamers and heavy social app users.

Zhang Yong, the founder and CEO of LBE Tech, said that Parallel Space is supported by MultiDroid, an advanced technology of virtual engine developed by LBE Tech. Short for "Multi Android," MultiDroid enables Parallel Space to create an independent virtual operating system on Android devices.

"With the independent and separate operating system, Android users can download and run all apps," said Zhang, adding that the app is available in 19 languages.

Since its market trial started in February, the app has been downloaded by tens of millions of users from over 100 countries and regions, including US, France, Italy and Japan. Parallel Space is also ranked No.10 on Google Play's list of top free Android apps.

Zhang said Parallel Space will be available for other operating systems like iOS and Windows Phone in the future.

Parallel Space isn't LBE Tech's only popular app. In 2011, when LBE Tech was established, they launched a mobile safety solution app named LBE Security Master. The app protects Android systems from viruses, unwanted advertisements and other possible threats to the safety and privacy of mobile users.

Zhang said that LBE Tech will continue to launch new apps in China and around the world. Currently, 80 percent of Parallel Space's users are from overseas, he said. "The mobile Internet market is a global market, and Chinese mobile Internet companies are no worse than those in other countries in terms of technology and products," said Zhang. "LBE Tech will promote more apps to more countries in the future, and we will play a leading role in the global Android technology sector."
