Cop busted for posting sexy selfies in uniform

A female auxiliary police officer in Northeast China's Jilin Province was dismissed for posting "indecent" photos of herself when they racked up millions of views on social media.

Police in Dandong announced the dismissal of the officer, surnamed Wang, for the saucy selfies taken in 2015 after they resurfaced on Sina Weibo.

Public security officials called them a "bad influence on society," thepaper.cn reported Tuesday.

The photos show Wang in a variety of poses while wearing her uniform shirt and skimpy black shorts. In some pics she appears to blow a kiss to the camera.

The images popped up on May 6 after being reposted by user "Maidengwang" to the account's 25,500 followers.

"You are a beautiful girl, but it's not proper to pose like this while in uniform," read the caption.

The post has since been deleted.

The Sina Weibo topic, hashtagged as Wang's Weibo account name "The Story of Xiaotianshi and Laotianxiang," has received more than 269 million views.

Many on social media got busy wagging their virtual fingers at Wang.

"Your police uniform is for doing your duty, not the dirty," wrote "Qingjiu zyanc." "The girl has been punished, do not hurt her anymore with your harsh words," said "Fairytale Sister."

Police officers from across China have also been posting their own, more "respectable" selfies.

"We can be beautiful in uniform, but not frivolous, because we stand for the image of the police," "Xiangxiujiade Shangbangou" said.

According to police regulations, officers should "keep neat and dignified" at all times.
