Famous domestic sports brand, Peak Sport, unveiled three new running shoes, Arrow, Rhythm and Flyii IV, during the launch ceremony of 29th Dalian International Marathon in Dalian, Liaoning Province, on May 16. Arrow and Rhythm are designed for professional runners and seem well suited for the marathon on May 22, which will feature whole-course, half-course and mini marathons as well as a 10-kilometer race.

Peak's CEO, Xu Zhihua, said Peak hoped to imbue the brand with the "spirit of the marathon."

"We will continue to offer support to domestic marathon competitions and improve our running products and our brand culture," Xu said."Peak will launch more professional running products to meet the growing needs of runners."

According to Peak's brand director Liu Xiang, the new Peak running shoes are noteworthy in terms of function and design. Arrow is suitable for distance running. It is designed to have a firm grip on the ground, and its elasticity and ventilation allow for comfortable running. Rhythm was designed with Peak's exclusive P-Motive technology and uses bionic, light and elastic materials to provide smooth running that is less taxing on runner's feet, even during a grueling long distance race.

Apart from Arrow and Rhythm, which were specially designed for professional distance running, Peak also designed another pair of running shoes called Flyii IV, which are more geared toward new and amateur runners.

Flyii IV features a 30 percent increase in elasticity compared with its predecessor. Flyii IV is designed with multi-core elastic tech and is lighter and better ventilated, which makes them ideal for the aspiring amateur runner.
