100-day countdown ceremony held in Hangzhou

A ceremony kicking off the 100-day countdown to the 2016 G20 summit was held in the Yellow Dragon Sports Center of Hangzhou on May 27.

Around 5,000 members of the armed forces, the hospitality industry and other key fields took part, where they pledged to do their upmost to ensure the event would be a success.

Yu Pengfei, a member of the Hangzhou SWAT division, told the Global Times that 30 representatives from the division took part in the ceremony, as they are responsible for the security of the summit.

The Xizi Hotel and the Hangzhou Xihu State Guesthouse, both subordinate to the Hangzhou Guard Bureau, will receive foreign guests during the summit. Chen Lihua, the member of staff in charge of receiving international guests, told the Global Times that 150 staff members from the two hotels attended the ceremony.
