Jason Day remains top of the world golf rankings released Monday, as young American Daniel Berger got a lift from capturing his first USPGA Tour victory in the St. Jude Classic. The world's top 15 remains unchanged while 23-year-old Berger, the Rookie of the Year in 2015, moves up 17 places to 29th.

Australian Day stays ahead of American Jordan Spieth and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, with Phil Mickelson up three spots to 17th.

The world's top players skipped last week's tournaments ahead of the US Open Golf Championship from June 16 to 19 at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.
