Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace is presenting the eighth Yunnan Culture Festival on June 18 and 19.

During the Yunnan Culture Festival, guests will be able to join bamboo dances and have an authentic taste of the culture of the Dai ethnic group in Yunnan Province. Guests will also be able to sample authentic Yunnan fare from a sumptuous buffet, featuring Xishuangbanna barbecue, Yunnan rice noodles, rice wine and so on. The Songkran Water Festival happens on the Dai calendar new year in Xishuangbanna, Ruili, and Mangshi in Yunnan Province. The celebration includes a religious ritual where everyone gets splashed with water, a symbol of purity and good will.

As the representative of Yunnan culture in Beijing, Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace celebrates the Yunnan Culture Festival every year. Colorful Yunnan-style costumes and décor will be on display at the hotel to help create a celebratory atmosphere as guests soak up the food and culture of the  Dai people.

This year's Yunnan Culture Festival coincides with Father's Day. So, as an added treat, the hotel will invite some Beijing dads to celebrate Father's Day with their families.
