In honor of Fidel Castro's 90th birthday, the photography exhibition Fidel es Fidel (Fidel is Fidel) was held at the Capital Library of China on June 14.

Held by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Embassy in Beijing, the exhibition showcased two video clips and 87 photos of the great Cuban revolutionary leader taken over the past 50 years. Distinguished guests included Julio Ballester Guzman, Cuba's deputy culture minister; Zhou Li, the vice minister of the International Department, Central Committee of Communist Party of China; Ding Wei, the vice minister of China's Ministry of Culture; and Alberto J. Blanco Silva, the Cuban Ambassador to China.

Cuba's deputy culture minister spoke on the life of Castro and his contributions to social justice in Cuba, as well as on the friendship between China and Cuba.
